Woman of Wisdom Cross Stitch by harryfan99 Woman of Wisdom Cross Stitch by harryfan99
This was done in honor of my Grandmother that passed away. It took me over 10 years to do (off and on). I'm most proud of this then any other project I've ever done.

I have also done this piece.  Mine was for my daughter.  It is a gorgeous design, though I absolutely HATED working with the metallic floss.  Very nice work.  :)

Ten years?! Wow. :wow: I can totally understand why though, there are just so many different colors! Was there a lot of colors you had to mix? Like 2 different colored floss strands together? (I don't know the technical term if there is one :/ )

You did a great job and all that hard work definitely paid off! :)

there weren't any mixed color strands on this one. it was just super detailed. i put it away for years at a time too. so that's why it took a long time.

thanks!

You're welcome. No mixed colors? That's surprising but it's super awesome. :)

I'm working on one and I feel like all I'm doing is mixing colors. lol. :D

You have every right to be proud
1. because it turned out lovely
2. you stuck with it and finished it.
I have a project that took me ten years too ... packed away for nearly 8 years when my kids were little.
